Just heard about this and am gonna do it! I have a book due Jan 15th - 50k contemporary romance, and am just getting started. Had another book due early Nov then had revisions, so I’m not as far along as I’d like on this one - still in outline form. Need this kick in the hiney!!

Sorry, I’m leaving me initial comment alittle late, I got tied up in my writing. I was also doing NaNoWriMo and I wanted to be sure that I didn’t fall behind on that.

My goal is 90,000 words. I’m over half the way there because of NaNoWriMo, so I’m hoping to stick with this other half. This is an urban fantasy romance. I’ve also been working on some short stories/novellas. All of them are speculative fiction. Some are more horror, some are more “werid/surreal/slipstream”. I really want to get them done because they just keep building up. At first I was going to save them for a BIAM or NaNo challenge, but I don’t think they’re really that long. There about eight weeks left in this challenge. If I can get my 90K done on my novel and 6 of the shorter pieces done and ready to send off, I’ll consider that a victory!

My goal is 90,000-100,000 words (depending on how long the novel I’m working on gets). I want to finish it by 12/31. I signed up late since I’m doing Nano and won’t be finished by 11/30.
