I haven’t written since the accident–16 days today. My heart just hasn’t been in it since Angel died (our family dog). I am plotting and planning another piece to keep my brain sort of in the game and I’ll get back to it in a while. Right now I’m just reading and healing.

Thanks for all the links! Even if I don’t get any editing done in the last week (so many family events!) then at least I can maybe snatch a moment here and there to start looking up agents or drafting my query letter…

Just over 72k since I started Sven III. I finished 3 wips - one an unexpected wip born mid Sven lol. It’s more than I thought I’d write. I just wish I’d written it on the wips I wanted!
I’m floundering for my next project. Hopefully that’ll be sorted in the next day or two, then I can get back into my grove *grin*

I took nearly 5 full days off and couldn’t stand it, so last night I started version 2.0 and wrote a little over 2k of new material I knew that I needed.

I’m over 61K, but need to get done in the next month. Which means ramping up again. Turns out they’re going to release the book six months earlier than I thought. So back to writing . . . .

I hit my goal (105k) earlier this week. I’m in the last 3/4 of my novel. (Only 66k of my Sven total is the novel. Everything else is a novella.) I doubt I’ll finish the novel by the end of the challenge, but that’s okay. I’ll just keep chugging along!

I’ve been writing despite the explosion a few weeks back and have managed just over 95k. My goal was 100k so I’m sure I’ll reach it. Now we’re all clearing out of the house again while the builders tear down the chimney and put in a new wall, so it’s back to handwriting for that last 5k!

WC Total for challenge is 78,540 and a lot of that was a struggle but I went over one of the books I struggled so hard to finish and I’m thrilled with it. I now have copy edits to do so no new words until that is done but then it’s on to something totally different!

I’m happy. Not quite sure what my total count is, but I finished two and well into the third, so I’m satisfied!

Broke 58K on the rewrite, and I’d written 58K thereabouts for the first attempt, so I’m pleased: I’ve broken even. And I have a much better story because of the rewriting / restructuring, so it was worth the effort, even if I didn’t complete the rough draft by May 15. I’ll keep plugging until I get the rough draft done.

Roghly I’m at 120k plus change and having fun polishing the rough draft. So while I’m not at the end of the process per se, I have finished the novel. Its a matter of roughing in all that was missed.
How’re the rest of you doing?

Hi all,
Reached my goal off 56,000 well 56,159. As I’ve said before not on the one book though. Congratulations everyone, another great challenge. Looking forward to the next one. I have a better plan for Round 4. Well I hope it’s a better plan.

Bad me. I fell short of the mark. It looks as if I’ll still be working on the same W.I.P. for the sizzling summer with Sven. At least I hope he’ll be turning up the heat this summer.

My final total for this round is a few words shy of 50k, which is a fair bit short of my goal (80k), but not bad all things considered. I know it’s more than I would have done without the boost of the challenge! I got a couple of the things I wanted to finish done, so that’s a good thing too.
I’ll definitely be back for round 4 though! Thanks for this, and congrats to everyone who stuck it out!
