I’ve done well this week — I’m up to 53K on my rewrite, which means I’ve broken 100K words total for Sven. :) I’d hoped I would have the rough draft finished by the close of Round 3 and was set back by having to do the rewrite, but it’s all right. I have a much better story now.

  2. Jess Says:

I finished the book, so I’m taking the weekend off before I start working on something new. … I can’t WAIT to dig into revisions, which is a huge first for me. :)

  3. Jaci Says:

about 5000 words for me this week, which is really low, but I did two workshops and had to do revisions on a book, so I’ll take it. Next week I intend to kick some ass, since it’s the last week of Sven. :-)

  4. Jen P Says:

Me + Sven = Me lose

And not just this week, but the whole challenge. Will there be a Sven IV in the summer? I know I’ll be able to do better when school’s out. Or at least I hope so.

Congrats to all of you for all of your work! (and to Jess for finishing your book! Woohoo!)

  5. Erin Kendall Says:

63k and closing in on the end of the book. :D

  6. Larissa Ione Says:

About 9k this week on my third demon book, which was my Sven project, and about 4k on the Sydney project…so I did pretty good!

  7. Sandie Hudson Says:

I’m up to 53,292 words for Sven which I’m happy with, but I haven’t done the editing I was hoping to get done. Next time I’m only going to work on one thing at a time. There is going to be a next time right? Anyway I’ll either finish a WIP or do editing but not both, and no starting any new WIP until I finish the ones I have on the go now.

Well November I’ll have to start a new one for NaNo, but I’m hoping by then I’ll have these others finished. What do you think my chances are?

Catch ya again on Wednesday. Happy writing everyone.

    Hugs
    Sandie

  8. Leah Says:

So far, the total is 45,253, and 104 pages. I don’t think I’ll get to 70,000 words, or that I’ll finish the book this time, but I’m planning to get it done by August. This is the best I’ve ever done, and I’m pretty happy with it.

  9. Cynthia Eden Says:

With Sven, I’ve written 420 pages so far and I’m closing in fast on my finish. :-) Yay, Sven!!!

  10. B.L. Foxxe Says:

I’m at over 100k which means I met a limit of sorts. However I’m still in the revision stage which is also good. Means I may even finish this sucker this week.

Hope everyone who is a mom enjoyed this sunday. Me? I’m going to continue working out knots that are appearing from the blue. Grr. lol. Still better to catch them now before I go through the hassle of formatting, blah blah blah…

  11. Joely Says:

Still pushing toward the end of the project. 86,841 for Sven III, not bad at all, but I don’t think I’ll finish the first draft by 5/15. That’s okay — the end is in sight, and I’m still pleased with the results. I’ve also been working on editor revisions on a full-length novel at the same time, which is tricky to balance with the new work.

  12. Maria Says:

I hit 104k today. My goal for Sven is 105k so I’m thisclose!

  13. Shiloh Walker Says:

Wrapped up the books I was doing for my epubs-focusing on the Berkley book now. Not going to finish it by 5/16, but I’m satisfied with my progress.

    :-)

  14. deniz Says:

slow weekend for me… the end is in sight but I just can’t seem to…you know.. the BIG push… but you guys are doing great!

  15. Mechele Armstrong Says:

My writing was very light, I had a lot of revising to do, but I realized today that I’m close to my Sven goal! Off to write
