  1. Angelle Trieste Says:

Wrote a 2 page synopsis and entered the SHOMI contest. (Also polished the entry to death…)

Now working on other chapters. ;)

  2. Thomma Lyn Says:

No more words. Still working on restructuring the foundation for my WIP for a rewrite. I’ve got a lot done in that regard, and I hope I’ll be able to start the actual rewrite soon. But not before I’m ready. This time, I intend to get it right.

  3. Maggie Nash Says:

Not much writing on the WIP, however I did write a synopsis, a query, submitted it and had it pass the submissions editor….waiting to get read and acquired now :-) This is my story from the last SVEN :-)

So not too bad for a weeks work :-)

  4. Xidu Says:

Way to go Maggie! Good luck!

Sven count is 58XXX words. Can’t be more specific than that, I just got in from work and am now going to bed. But this week I finished 9k of revisions so I’m pleased!

  5. Kim Knox Says:

Plugging away at the story I started on Monday completely by accident. Hopefully I’m about half way through.

    Sven total: 46 457

  6. Portia Da Costa Says:

I’m writing… just that. Rather slowly and painstakingly. But at least I’m doing something. :)

  7. Jaci Burton Says:

Finished another book this week. 15,000 words done last week. Starting another one next week. Progress! Thank you Sven. :-)

    Good luck Maggie!

  8. Mechele Armstrong Says:

I wrote every day this week! So I’m happy.

I wrote 8600 words last week. This is the start of the new week and I wrote 1200 words to finish up my latest novella. I’m now at 47200 total for Sven! Still probably behind where I’d like to be but cranking along.

  9. Renee Sweet Says:

Still busting my tail to get everything done on time — critiquing, writing, working, preparing for the RT Booklovers Convention — Aaaaaaah! But I’m doing it so far. :) 30533 / 60000

  10. Trace Says:

Hello Sven, my old friend - long time no check-in, lol!! Haven’t been very well the past two weeks, but today I’m feeling more my bad old self and have ventured over to the pc. My challenge total so far is 19 839, which is better than last time, when I had a fit of the vapours and cracked in the first week!

  11. Jen P Says:

Well… It all took a nosedive the other day, and I’m trying to get back to normal again. I’m still planning to type up all of my longhand… at some point…

  12. Erin Kendall Says:

37,983 so far for Sven. Making up for lost time. :)

    Cheers,
    EK

  13. Alexa Silver Says:

79,659 total on my co-written WIP with about 25,000 words scattered amongst other projects.

  14. Cat Kane Says:

Had a really good week in terms of catching up, added about 10k to my total over the last 5 days alone, with one revision almost finished.

    Catching up, slowly but surely!

  15. Amie Stuart Says:

I suck on so many levels it’s not even funny but I have to get it in gear. I scrapped 14 pages yesterday and wrote 9 today (after I FINALLY got out of that corner I’d written myself into)

  16. Dawn Montgomery Says:

It’s been a HARD week. We’re sick here. Blech. So word count is low. I’m plugging along at a steady pace now that the congestion meds are kicking in.

  17. Sarai Says:

Okay was able to finish the first rough copy of Cursed now going back and expanding on it added 3506 words bringing me up to 32041 out of 60000 plan to write on it for another hour tonight and then work on the other WIP!

  18. Jess Says:

I wanted to start on Monday with at least 20k, and when I stopped writing yesterday I had 19,900. I couldn’t round that up, so today I took my laptop to church and in between events I wrote and am now at 21,500 words. :)

  19. Kathleen Says:

Blah. not going well. Home from vacation, still no idea where the rest of my plot is going.

  20. Maria Says:

After all the previous great weeks, I am seriously stinking it up this week! I’ve only written twice this week, both times exceeding my daily goal, but still. I know it’s because I’ve been dealing with health issues (infertility) but jeez! I usually don’t have a problem separating my writing from the day to day bs. Must do better…

  21. Lynn M Says:

I’m seriously sucking, but I got 2500 words since Wednesday.

  22. Leah Says:

I did well on Thurs., then, not so much, mostly because I got sucked into an online drama (oops!). Must show more discipline!

  23. Jennette Says:

50,000 total for Sven! (Well, 50,018 to be exact.) 8,000 in the past week, 4,000 of which I wrote today. I think that’s the most I’ve ever written in one day, and I’m thankful to Sven for the push.

  24. B.L. Foxxe Says:

After doing two days of work equaling eh…a goodly amount :) I was whipped, exhausted and couldn’t do diddly squat. However, in the past two to three days I made up for my lack of progress. I’m at 30k+ for the now definitely Adult novel, with two teens as major/minor secondary characters…so this oughta be interesting to see where I end at. I’m hoping for the minimum of 60k and that’s conservative at this point. I’d love to hit 100k but am not seeing it happen. Hehe, maybe for the next one!

Congrats to those who’ve done good. Keep going for those who’re struggling!

  25. deniz Says:

did a lot more research today, some editing, and posted my exercise on the CompuServe forum… plugging away at least, if a bit slow. Congratulations to all of you who are keeping up so well!

  26. Gwen Mitchell Says:

I only got another 6000 since Wednesday, but my total count is 47K for Sven. Not meeting my goals, but still keeping up with the challenge, which feels good.

  27. Diana Pharaoh Francis Says:

Slow slow week. Still forward progress though. I’m trying to work out some plot points so that I can ramp up again. I did get my office cleaned, though, so it feels more conducive to working rather than holding off siege engines.

  28. Sandie Says:

    I’m running in late AGAIN!!!!!
I’ve had an up and down few days. Wrote 3,450 on one MS, also hand written 12 pages on another new story that just popped into my head the other day. (Getting very crowded in my head city.) I’ve also been working on a BIAM Challenge that we Aussie Romance writers are doing in June. We’re calling it; ‘50ks In 30 Days’ so far we have 27 challengers and have just started a blog, Write In June. I’m such a sucker for these challengers. My moto should be ‘See challenge must compete.’

Anyway I’m off to do a couple of hours word sprinting with some friends. Catch up on Wednesday. Hope you all have a good week.

    Hugs
    Sandie

  29. Diana Says:

    I’m done with my book!!!!

  30. S.J.Bell Says:

Congratulations Diana! I’ve deleted far more words than I’ve written. I’m afraid to tally my word count this week, or to step on the scales but that’s another matter. I hope I can pick up the pace for the last month and finish with a bang.

  31. Amanda Says:

7117 words for the week. I really need to plug away for the rest of this week.

  32. Pat Rosen Says:

I haven’t checked in in 2.5 weeks. Wrote 53 pages over that period. Am plodding forward.

  33. Joely Says:

I’m on a business trip this week and forgot to check in. Despite work craziness, I committed to getting up at 4:00 a.m. this week to keep progress moving on the novel. I’m up to 42,312 for Sven and 4600 for the week.
