At the moment, having just finished checking a set of page proofs, and having had a tough time of it… I feel exhausted. And as if I never want to set out on another new book ever again!
But I’ll grow out of that. I always do. When I get my teeth into the next big idea. And in the meantime I might tinker with some short stories.

Had to stop working on the book to write a proposal, which I finished up the draft of last night. So good progress this week so far, about 8500 words. Today I’ll tweak the proposal and get that sent off, then back to the book. Things are moving along.

I was at 40,800 last night. I haven’t written yet today, it’s been crazy busy. But at this rate, I’ll have the thing out in the next two and a half weeks - I may make Sven goal after all!

No internet for 7 whole days. None. Argh!
I did get about 13k written though and finished the first draft of a novella a fortnight early. So something good came out of the abject misery of having no ‘net.

*cough* I didn’t realise it was Wednesday so sorry for the late check in. So this week I’ve written more then I ever have in one sitting which feels great and something I’m hoping on doing in a regular fashion.
Things have been a little hectic since we’re moving rooms and so computers have been packed away etc.. which means all work is being done on a shared laptop that I have to hide away to keep my hands on. Still things are getting done.
I’ve no idea what my word count is but I am happy with everything that I’ve done this time around and I think I’ve actually written much more this time and all the others. So the big question is - when is the next one?

I haven’t done much writing this week as I’m judging a comp. Hoping to have that finished this weekend so I can put some serious time back into my writing.

I’ve had an awesome week with 3 2K+ days in a row. April’s total is 31,708, with 61,957 for Sven III. I had to finish a very, very tough scene tonight before I could call it quits and come report, so I’m very pleased!

Still trudging away and I’m estimating at being halfway through the first part of the book. I’m seeing an actual breaking point and pleased. I’m guessing here, but I think I’m at maybe 65k total thus far. Who knows what the last half will look like *grins* Whether it’ll be finished in time before the challenge ends, I dunno. However its fun to work toward the goal until it ends.

I have not done so well on this as I would have liked, definitely not even close to the goal, however, it is much more than I had done in the months previous to this race.
This week I was frustrated because I could only manage about 300 words a day for several days (only 141 one day), was really struggling with the chapter. I managed to finish it yesterday with 760 words. Yay!
So now I will be on to next chapter. Will put kids to bed now and maybe get up and do some writing, since I have done none yet today. It’s icky and snowy here when it should be spring/summer weather. *sigh*

I haven’t written in 2 days because life sucker-punched me, and my DSL modemdied. On dialup. Anyhoo, my total is about 56k, and I’m going to remedy that not-writing problem tonight.

This challenge has been filled with all sorts of outside stuff, trips, my husband being gone multiple times for work, his new job, my parents here - all just a big challenge to my writing. I’m on target but only barely so! It’s all about trying to find my sea legs right now. Thank goodness for Sven to keep me motivated, LOL

I’ve written about 5 K this week, bringing my Sven total to almost 58 K. However, I’m to the point where I’m going to be doing a lot of revising. Revising doesn’t usually yield high word counts. Has to be done but I think I’m not going to meet my Sven goal. Hopefully, I’ll come close.
