Just got the corrections from my critique group so I needed to fix some minor errors in the first 6 chapters. Aargh! So, no writing on Chapter 8.

i still have no new word count to report. thus i still owe Sven 20K just as I did on the last day of NaNo. But i do have a great accomplishment to report and it is related to writing outpur in that massive disorganization and chaos severely limits porductivity. I spent the last six days--from Tuesday afternoon thru Sunday evening while my in-laws were out of town--'spring-cleaning' the room my husband, our cat and I share at his parent's house.

After several hundred trips in and out of the room and a dozen loads of laundry and half a dozen cardboard boxes slated for Salvation Army and half a dozen large trash bags filled, I have a clean, fairly organized living space and a new workstation that I am anxious to test-drive. So I will be treating the last nine days of Sven round II with the same dedication to writing as the last nine days of NaNo.

I report on this here because the entire motivation behind this project was to honor my writing.

I didn't check in at all in November, so I was surprised when I added up my word count goal and ended up with 71,042.

Happy dance!

Made my weekly goal, though not my daily today. I'm at 87% of my total goal for the Sweat. If I can push a little extra this week, I'll make it. Although I have to prepare for my class, which starts on Monday next and I haven't even written the syllabus yet...

Double O Blonde
Total word count = 26,574
New words written = 1,521

After a long holiday were I wasn't able to write a single word, I finally managed to convert some words into electrons. So much for keeping up with my writing. {sigh} Hopefully I'm back on track and considering that I didn't start writing until last Thursday, I actually met my goal of 1,000 words between checkings. {smile}

Thanks for the Asimov quote. He's probably one of my all-time favorite writes dating back to when I was a kid. And it was only in the last year or so how much his statement applies to me. Not writing is like dying a slow death. I feel so much better tonight.

Take care..............Wayne

dang, nothing. I did take my WIPs when I went out of town but nothing was done. I can say that 36,347 words, not including notes and half thoughts were written this year. Looks good but it's over FIVE manuscripts. sigh. I wonder if I'll ever get the hang of this....
