Yes, I’ve done some! LOL
After finally finishing my recap/edit on my WIP, I managed to start moving forward again at a pace of about 1.1K per day, and was feeling quite pleased about that, and enjoying the story…
Then, of course, a set of page proofs arrived on my desk. So have to switch to that for a few days and I’m afraid I’ll lose the thread of the WIP again! Grrr….
Am not concerned so much with totals now, am just working towards a combined wordcount across three projects of 70K by the 15th. I think I may still make it!

I feel so bad, I’m letting you all down. I still haven’t done anything to any of my WIP. I did open the files the other day and read over a couple of them, but that was all I did. I’m still having some health problems, hopefully they’ll be sorted soon. In the mean time good luck everyone.
hugs
Sandie

I made really good progress back when this challenge first started but December was a total bust. I was in edits and all new work ground to a halt. I’m hoping to pick up writing new stuff this week, but we’ll see how it goes.
January 6th, 2008 at 9:29 am
I’m back in revisons land, so no forward movement on the new stuff for the time being.

10k+!!!!! My goal has been 7K/wk, so this is huge for me. I’m on a final push to finish the book, and it looks like I’ll definitely have the rough draft done by the end of the challenge. It’ll take another couple of weeks to flesh out and fix before I can let anyone see it in its entirety, but yay!!!!

Proposal done, book coming together. Zooom.

2056. Yeah.
I started over on the 1st, all excited…and then was knocked down by a stomach bug. Scene 2 today…
I had planned on having the chapter done so I’d be more comfortable doing the synopsis…the best of intentions…

I accomplished my goal on the 31st, but I still return to the blog to read daily posts and comments. I support all of you and it’s been wonderful to witness the progress everyone’s made since the beginning of this challenge. Long live Sven! 8^)

I’m still writing for the day, but I had to stop and check in because I just passed the 100,000 mark!
This is great news for me. I never thought I could write so much in such a short amount of time. Thanks to this challenge, I’ve gotten so much accomplished.
Now, I’ve just got to finish the book. I don’t know if I can do it by the end of the challenge, but I’m gonna try!

About 4500, give or take since Wednesday. Hopefully will nail down a little more here today because edits for my June book showed up at the door yesterday.
shudder… hate edits.
January 6th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
I did some words, but they weren’t in my WIP so they don’t count, but I’m still going. With a little over a week I don’t think I’ll make it, but I can come closer.
January 6th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
I actually got 3000 words yesterday. Overall, I’m behind, but I plan to get as much done as possible. I’m going to get this sucker done if it kills me! It might, too.
January 6th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
Still working on the outline/plan for revisions, but I’m going to start drafting tomorrow morning D&E if I can get my fanny out of bed.
January 6th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
oh, about 5K but I am way behind. I dropped off the planet thanks to my five year old getting pneumonia over Christmas, but I am starting to get back there and I just might make my goal:)
January 6th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Just a few of us left, it seems! I did 7610 since Wednesday’s check-in, which means 86145 for the challenge. I’m within days of finishing this WIP.

dang, nothing. I did take my WIPs when I went out of town but nothing was done. I can say that 36,347 words, not including notes and half thoughts were written this year. Looks good but it’s over FIVE manuscripts. sigh. I wonder if I’ll ever get the hang of this….

Double O Blonde
Total word count = 26,574
New words written = 1,521
After a long holiday were I wasn’t able to write a single word, I finally managed to convert some words into electrons. So much for keeping up with my writing. {sigh} Hopefully I’m back on track and considering that I didn’t start writing until last Thursday, I actually met my goal of 1,000 words between checkings. {smile}
Thanks for the Asimov quote. He’s probably one of my all-time favorite writes dating back to when I was a kid. And it was only in the last year or so how much his statement applies to me. Not writing is like dying a slow death. I feel so much better tonight.
Take care…………..Wayne

Made my weekly goal, though not my daily today. I’m at 87% of my total goal for the Sweat. If I can push a little extra this week, I’ll make it. Although I have to prepare for my class, which starts on Monday next and I haven’t even written the syllabus yet…
January 7th, 2008 at 12:09 am
I didn’t check in at all in November, so I was surprised when I added up my word count goal and ended up with 71,042.
Happy dance!
January 7th, 2008 at 12:14 am
words to come tomorrow, I hope! finished 90% of research this weekend!
January 7th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
I did 4200 last week, which is, uh, the most I’ve written since November, draft-wise.
January 7th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
I just turned in a 12,000 word short story.
January 7th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
i still have no new word count to report. thus i still owe Sven 20K just as I did on the last day of NaNo. But i do have a great accomplishment to report and it is related to writing outpur in that massive disorganization and chaos severely limits porductivity. I spent the last six days–from Tuesday afternoon thru Sunday evening while my in-laws were out of town–’spring-cleaning’ the room my husband, our cat and I share at his parent’s house.
After several hundred trips in and out of the room and a dozen loads of laundry and half a dozen cardboard boxes slated for Salvation Army and half a dozen large trash bags filled, I have a clean, fairly organized living space and a new workstation that I am anxious to test-drive. So I will be treating the last nine days of Sven round II with the same dedication to writing as the last nine days of NaNo.
I report on this here because the entire motivation behind this project was to honor my writing.

Finished first-stage revisions to my not-quite-so-rough-now draft.
WOOT!
January 11th, 2008 at 12:40 am
Just got the corrections from my critique group so I needed to fix some minor errors in the first 6 chapters. Aargh! So, no writing on Chapter 8.
